Daniela Franzen is German and an accomplished acrobat and
tightrope-dancer. She is a distinguished graduate of the International
School for Acrobatic and Circus in Berlin. Her main subjects were floor
acrobatics and tightrope dance. She acted in various shows, festivals
and circus-meetings, particularly in vaudevilles, for instance
"Camaeleon", Berlin; "Schmidt Theater", Hamburg; "Pegasus", Bensheim;
"Scenario", Bremen (art direction, as well); "Etcetera", Bochum;
"Krystall palace", Leipzig. In 1997 she acted in the "Circ Crac" in
Barcelona, and in two street theatre tours with the "Teatro Taller" in
Colombia. In 1998 she founded the tightrope dance duo "Mariposa",
acting with her partner in many galas and vaudevilles until 2004. Since
1998 she has been performing in Marcello Monaco’s theatre projects and
also together with him as co-equilibrist, tightrope- and tango-dancer.
Accompanied by Marcello she travelled to Argentina several times, in
order to improve her skills in tango-dance. They were instructed by world-wide known teachers. In 2005 they founded the duo
Daniela&Marcello.

Marcello Monaco is Italian and lives in Germany
since 1990. In Italy he was an actor at the "Teatro Nucleo" in Ferrara
for seven years. For many years he has been acting in international
street theatre performances. In Germany he studied the violin and
worked as musician, actor, performer and theatre director. Collateral
to his artistic work with Daniela Franzen, he was the art director of
major theatre events such as "Arche nova", a travelling theatre on a
mobile stage, comprising 100 artists of different disciplines and
nationalities. This performance took place in the region between
Münster and Osnabrück and lasted one month. In addition,
there is to mention "Traumbau zu Babel", a production at the
Vulkan-shipyard in Bremen; " Die Sinnflut " with 50 artists performing
at the Weser river on ships and at the port-area; "Erdenzittern", a
theatre and circus spectacle with 15 artists as well 10 horses.
Accompanied by his partner Daniela Franzen he travelled to Argentina
several times, in order to improve his skills in tango-dance. They were
instructed by world-wide known teachers. In 2005 they founded the duo
Daniela&Marcello.
